Opening Frillies has been the most enormous learning curve and a real emotional roller coaster. I didn’t anticipate quite how it would totally take over my life and my brain and all of my energy! Talk about focusing.
For the past six months I have helped rip plaster off walls and pull down ceilings. I’ve visited trade shows and training courses. I’ve helped design my logo. Plan my website. Thought about the boutique layout. Thought about stock to order. I have painted and decorated. Thought about shop fittings. Furniture. Even found out about business bank accounts and credit card machines. The list has been endless. And yet so rewarding.
I had hoped to open last weekend but unfortunately I think I was being over ambitious – especially after being the Show Secretary for the Penistone Agricultural Show. Which also took over my life for a good few months and only took place on the second week in September.
So I am now planning to open in two weeks time. There’s just some final decorating to do and then all that beautiful lingerie and nightwear to display. The swimwear will be arriving at a later date. It’s so exciting. And it’s finally happening 🙂
